2023/24 Seamus Coleman

I believe the only real knock on Coleman has been that he has not won a trophy in his time with the club.

I have often wondered what would have happened had he not suffered that nasty hamstring injury back in 2016 against Southampton; literally 1-week before the FA Cup Semi-Final against United. We ended up playing Mo Besic as a RB and even still it took a late winner from Martial in injury time. I think had we gone through we would have done the business against CP in the final.

Rehashing all that trauma only to say, how would we as fans look at Seamus differently now, IF he had not been injured and ended up lifting the cup that season?

I know he was an utterly dreadful manager, but it was nice to hear Lampard on the overlap singing Coleman's praises, it was Keane who brought the topic of Colman up (calling him Seamus) and he is clearly also a fan.
