There is no way Dyche plays Branthwaite, he wants to pick Keane as he kept a clean sheet last time and he will do anything to make sure Keane plays.

Keane & Tarkowski start on sat 100% we won't win.

can't wait for this clown to be booted into oblivion, the way he mentions the England job, it's not my time 🤣🤣🤣

I somehow have the feeling he shouldn't have played that Palace game.

Not surprised but still disappointed by his fairly Brexity comments on the England manager in his press conference today.

Do most people want an English manager? Or do most people not care?

It strikes me that you’re either not bothered about England or you want them to win. So who are these people demanding a substandard manager because they are English?

He is the union rep for the English managers congress, I suppose. So shouldn’t be surprised,

Not that it matters but because I like being pedantic, the Kopite Thatcher loving Tory did vote Remain. All a bit weird this England manager must be English lark though.

I’m sure it’s just a minor thing to most - but I don’t like being managed by someone with such a limited opinion of what the football world apparently makes of this.

Shouty Tory rags and TalkSport bores are the only people who seem to be espousing this view he seems to think is ascendant.

I'm not sure if we are allowed to be bothered about it all though mate.

It's an odd one - I mean we would swap out most of the English players for better foreign ones if it was just about winning - but given it is actually about nationality - is it a bit strange that the one 'position' that can be foreign is the manager ?

Deconstructing it - maybe it would be better if FIFA required national managers were native too.

At the other extreme - if the fans just want the national side to be some sort of super-group from PL sides - why bother with nationality at all. Playing devil's advocate of course.

Im the least brexity man there is, but is a part of me that thinks international tournaments should be best of one nation against the best of another nation. That includes managers.
If we don’t have good enough managers then tough, it’s our weakness and we need to make do.
I actually don’t think Carsley would have done a bad job, but he clearly isn’t media savvy. It’s a shame that’s not good enough.

The bloke is halfway out the door with the job already done yet there’s still people twisting themselves inside out about hypothetical selections not even made yet.

You’re all not bothered apparently though
"Job already done" .

Wow didn't know we were on 40 points already , that must have been one helluva sleep.

Way to go Sean. Good job.

Apologies, once we are safely in Friedkin’s embrace its job done.

Because of course, as many have said, literally any plant pot could get this top half squad to PL safety. So given it’s October, even if he went on a horrendous run now and got himself fired we’d still have 2/3 if the season with these brilliant players to get safe. Absolutely no risk at all, which is a far better position to be in than we were in January 23.

So yeah it is job done for Dyche. He’s either getting removed as soon as Friedkin takes over, if the team is in very bad form, or at the end of the season, neither scenario now ends with the club in administration.

He’s secured the foundations another manager can now build on. When he arrived it was just a wrecking ball swinging around smashing everything.

He's just giving his perspective from working with the FA and their "project". They're fast tracking and giving priority to ex-pro's but then saying there's not a real pathway.

For example, Carsley has done more than Southgate on that pathway. Southgate failed at under 21s - Carsley won a Euros. But Southgate had experience at tournaments as a player and managed at club level which seems to have tipped him into getting the job.

It's a failed system. Backed up by are own xenophobia and giving chances for coaches to fail.

Potter had to go to Sweden to get a chance.
Youngest ever Premier League manager is German as 31.
Would Will Still be managing at top flight club if he was born and settled in England?
