2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

The dichotomy doesn’t exist. Dyche laid the foundations, Moyes is now building the house. Bizarrely lots of Everton fans actually back whoever the manager at the time is and therefore don’t need to be on either side of a binary choice that is fabricated and doesn’t exist.
I dont think he laid any foundations, we was literally treading water and running out of breathe.

He left in a worse position than what Benitez left us in

'After a 2–1 defeat to bottom-placed Norwich City at Carrow Road, Benitez was relieved of his duties on 16 January 2022, after six-and-a-half months in charge, with Everton in 15th place, six points above the relegation zone, having lost nine of their previous thirteen games.'

He 'achieved' what Lampard achieved
He used excuse after excuse for his inabilities as a manager, the best we could hope for with this squad. (been absolutely blown out the water that lie)

So there’s no need for a false dichotomy then, thank you.

He didn't do anyone a "big favour" Dave. He was unemployed when he took the job and he was handsomely paid for his time here. He's going to collect another and final payoff from the club when we stay up. I've given him more credit then most but I refuse to act like he was doing charity or something when he was making a kings ransom from the club regardless of how good a job he did/didn't do. No manager, Moyes, Dyche, Anchelotti, Benitez, whoever, needs big ludicrous "thank you's" and grovelling. Their pay is their thanks for doing their ruddy job.

Think Dave would like to arrange a testimonial for him as well as a massive payout for what was tantamount failure this year with the players Dyche had available. Moyes has proven that already with far less players.
