He took the poisoned chalice when Bielsa was literally saying he’d rather train our kids.

Thank god he stepped up and delivered or we’d be playing Wrexham now and debating what the lease rate for the new stadium next year would be.

Never mind #thankyougaffer it should be #thankYOURgaffer
He didn't do it for free ffs. You're acting like he stepped up and gave blood or a kidney to save lives. He was an unemployed manager who took an unbelievably well paid job and yes I'll give him a hella lot of credit for keeping us up in 22-23 and 23-24 but lets not pretend that he did it for free and deserves sainthood because of it. Maybe if he'd not been a negative bellend he'd have seen his contract out and be looking at a whole host of jobs in the summer.

Literally no one is. Not one single person has ever said he’s done this for free or should be given a sainthood.

The short list for the job in 23 was short of quality, hence why we ended up with Dyche in the first place and got turned down by a bloke who had been fired by Leeds. He didn’t have to take what was a difficult job, he understandably wanted to be compensated for taking on the risk (like any business transaction) we had no negotiating power at the time and fortunately it worked out for both parties.

- Did well for 18 months.
- Would have relegated us this season if he’d stayed.

Both opinions. Both accurate.

Ah now you see, a lot of people were insistent that this wasn’t the case. In fact a lot of people said that unless we spent a fortune on a new squad in January, then nobody else could possibly have done better than he was doing, and 17th would’ve been an achievement.

As a bloke? Never met him so no idea. As a football manager? Very limited and one dimensional, did a good job here for 18 months in difficult circumstances before losing his way and seeming to get stuck in a rut that he was unable to get out of.
And what do you think of the players, do you think Dyche was getting the best out of them? Do you think they had it in them to string a few passes together? Or do you think that it wasn’t going to be the case of changing the manager which would yield better results because they were crap?…
The vaults await.

The Everton job was a big one for Sean Dyche to take on, which he did okay but didn't show any signs of growth or advancement in the end. Does anyone on here reckon he'll get another bite of the cherry with a decent-sized club or is his goose cooked now as far as a big appointment is concerned? I personally feel that his one-dimensional approach and inability to adapt his tactics when necessary have blotted his copybook.

The vaults?! What are you on about you try hard weirdo, you’re replying to giving me my opinion on the players you hardly need to go trawling through the vaults for it.

I don’t think the players are very good, my mind hasn’t changed because of a good month, but it will if they keep up recent form. I’ve always been clear in saying I don’t think they’re utterly hopeless and bound to get relegated, just that I think they’re a bottom half side. I still think that now, like I told you all of 2 posts ago.

Very salty.
