It's a still photo, no offence but it's meaningless, he quite clearly came on to so O'brien could push upNot sure about that. He isn’t exactly covering RB in the pic below standing on the left side of the box.

I agree mate. Hoping we have some options back. Need a bit more pace in there which lindstrom offered, Patterson will hopefully be able to offer, get Ndiaye back as well.Needs must as well. Literally no one else to rotate with, so once Lindstrom is ineffective the next in line is Young which isn't ideal.
Squad is completely depleted. We've got Wolves on the 8th and West Ham on the 15th, then another break until the rs on the 2nd April. We're going to need players back from that point on. If we don't, there's just no way we won't pick up injuries from fatigue playing the rs and Arsenal in 4 days.

Looking at his stats last night, he was literally just a body on the pitch. Which if people are claiming that makes him an excellent sub, then having anyone at all on the bench will be a positive.
10 touches. 2/6 successful passes. 33.3% pass accuracy (worst out of anyone that played). 0/2 successful crosses. 0/1 accurate long balls. 0 blocks. 0 tackles. 0 interceptions. 0 dribbles.
Like I said, personally think he did fine, and offers a body on the pitch that may do something occasionally (when used for 10-15 mins). But that’s a very low bar, and those claiming he was an excellent sub are clearly just wumming.Sounds like another Ashley Young masterclass doesn't it![]()

He was awful beaten most times - so slow - why he is on the bench when we have Dixon or Patterson with pace is a mystery to me ....To play RB so O'Brien could be pushed forward to use his size and athletism to literally save the game
Be handy when we terminate his contract at the end of the season IMO - no one else was in for him pre season only Dyche .....Handy to have.
He wasn't awful, don't be so hyperbolic. Dixon is a kid and Patts is just back from injury. He was brought on to get the big lad forward, the other RBs clearly are deemed not ready for one reason or another. It workedHe was awful beaten most times - so slow - why he is on the bench when we have Dixon or Patterson with pace is a mystery to me ....
He was beaten many times so slow - you have to have pace - our wingers have covered him all season to our detriment of forward play ...He wasn't awful, don't be so hyperbolic. Think Mangala at present is faster than YoungStill faster than Young .
He was brought on for a tactical switch that worked, its very very simpleHe was beaten many times so slow - you have to have pace - our wingers have covered him all season to our detriment of forward play ...
we have younger faster right backs in the training squad ?Needs must as well. Literally no one else to rotate with, so once Lindstrom is ineffective the next in line is Young which isn't ideal.
