New Everton Stadium

Depends - The Tesla stadium or the Philip Morris International arena might get a bad reception for good reason...

Sorry I hate this view. It looks like a ferry terminal..
More airport terminal

It's only there because they moved it from Preston.
It could be moved again if Goodison is a more favourable site.
I think you can easily argue that Merseyside has a richer football history and culture than Manchester.

I feel bad for Preston losing it. They have an unbroken connection to the first season of league football, as we have ourselves.

The stadium footprint must be quite a bit bigger than Anfield now mustn't it
Not really, I'm not sure exactly how it compares to Anfield which obviously has constraints around the surrounding housing but other than the fanpark bit at the front, our stadium footprint is very tight and has contributed to the steepness they've incorporated in the design. In many ways, the tight footprint has helped us build a stadium which is conducive to an atmosphere (we hope), so it's not been the worst thing in the world, but the footprint is surprisingly small relative to a lot of other grounds.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread…anyone else buy their season ticket then have a call back from Everton? I missed the call and have a voicemail asking to speak to me about it.

Oh wow, i thought it was steep by design, not by fluke. Thats interesting.

Apparently they wanted a virtually flat south stand that had a similar amount of rows but stretched out to the dockers clock. Terrible views, but bigger footprint. Win win.

Dan Meis has admitted that the tight footprint "kept them honest". It's steep by design and necessity
