I'm not into the PRX (they're everywhere), but the PRC 100 solar interests me (mainly because I've got too many automatics and can't be arsed winding them).

That's true if you buy a premium make. I serviced an old Omega from the early 60s couple of years ago and it was about 400€. Watch is worth about the same, so it was not about that.

I'm a bit tempted because the style is something I have been looking. I already had a look at CW's Valour line once.

I just got my O&W automatic watch serviced a few months ago in the USA after I didn't use it for over a decade (lived in a place where people stole watches all the time and this one looks like a Submariner if you don't look closely at the face). After taxes ran about $410. Have a Seiko I paid less than $200 for and gains a minute every day, couldn't justify bringing it in when a few one costs about half.

If you're brave enough, or can get a timegrapher, they're simple to adjust. Just need steady, non-alcoholic hands. Probably rules everyone on this site out though.

Has an alarm for getting you up in the morning to.

I tend to use that.

You could try demagnetising the Seiko first. I had the same issue and they didn't even charge me anything for it at the shop.

I've only just realised by looking at the pictures of the players wearing the watch in the promotional photos that it has a black leather strap - I had assumed (wrongly!) that the leather strap version would have a blue leather strap. I know it's only a strap that can be changed, but I'm really not keen on the black strap
