Can’t remember the last time I had to get an MoT, fortunate to be able to get a new car every couple of years even if we only do 1k miles per annum. Good luck, they can be expensive procedures.

I had an old jag in for an mot many years back. How's it going? I asked as the fella was backing it out after the brake test at the end
"Fine," he said, "pass."

Then the brake line burst, fluid everywhere and in his next breath,

"Fail"

It's not too strenuous a test out here in Qld, but it covers the basics, no salt on the roads help... but its only valid for 3mths for allowing you to change paper work.
The sellers form goes in, and your rego/road tax eventually runs out, if the bjyer form is late late late, he has to get it re tested
And pay the fees for reinsatating the rego.
never lay over cash / bank transfer until the buyer has signed his form
Always take a photo and or copy as back up

You do understand that an MOT on a car doing 1000 miles a year is LESS than just buying a new car?
