dyche thinks

I think the proof is in the pudding. Many thought we were relegation fodder but we had the glimpse of hope due to 3 even worse teams. Others thought WTF this team is better than what they are showing. IMO Dyche dragged us to the bottom with lack of tactical kudos. Moyes has already proven that in 2 months with a injury hit squad that available players are better than what Dyche led us to believe. Moyes wants to win games while Dyche just used the soundbite that he tries to win every game, the truth is Dyche didn't want to lose games and a clean sheet and a draw was a success to him. Dyche will never lose that mentality therefore he will never get the best from any team

He didn't keep us up despite himself, he kept us up dealing with a manure show of internal and existential threat. Lets not revise history here.
One way to play, an easier fixture list going into the last few games of his first season - Doucoure does a Doucoure thing and gets sent off for being stupid, we instantly don't know how to play and rely on a missed penalty to stay up. If only, and this is just a wild, wild though, we had more than 1 way to play.

Last season we didn't win a game for 4 months due to knowing how to play 1 way and 1 way only - for a draw. Absolutely stroke luck we went on a run at the end, which is the only time he's deserved credit last year and the only situation where this style of play works, when it's dire straits and backs against the wall... which is where he put us during the previous 20 or so games when playing not to win. We also had a deduction, yes, and we still comfortably survived despite that because of already mentioned 3 worse teams. Then a lot of people credited him for getting midtable worthy points with a midtable squad, and promptly forgot about that when he came out and said "ah we're prime relegation candidates again lads" this year .

This season we had 3 teams that started off in the same vein as us and we were instantly shown what Dyche's obvious limitations were, once more.

Moyes, of all managers out there, has shown this clown up for the fraud he is, and that he's not a Prem manager. We can go on and make half-arsed and unprovable soundbites as "we did a lot of work behind the scenes" and "people won't know what truly happened", which just defend Sean Dyche and no one else - he's managed to throw the players under instantly after saying that, too  Plus loving the "we did a lot of work behind the scenes" while doing 0 work on the stage, in that case.

I'm all for the "let's not revise history", but let's also not ignore the parts you conveniently don't like, right?

We can point at a lot of people responsible for dragging us to the bottom.

That isn't Dyche, given we were relegation fodder long before him.

I mean, this was the full calendar year before he rocked up;

... and even after this, we sat 19th with our lowest total in history going into Feb. So let's not rewrite history here - Dyche certainly didn't drag us to the bottom. We were well and truly already there. Then we had big sales in Richarlison, Iwobi, Gordon etc, and point deductions.

This team would be bottom half of the table next season under Moyes too.

Fortunately, we have new owners and the capacity to invest this summer to progress us.

Okay.

?

The point was in response to saying Dyche didn't drag us into the bottom - we were already there.

Then come the requirement to make good profit every window, and point deductions.

So no, Dyche didn't drag us into the bottom.

Years of mismanagement from a self serving, self preservation board and egotistical owner put us there.

Dyche come in with us 19th. Left us with 16th. We'd have all snapped hands off for that, even before big sales and deductions were factored in when he come in.

That's all only because there were three worse teams lad.

He did his job for 1,5 seasons in a pretty difficult period, but failed to take the next step, which was asked this season. We looked worse in the attack than last season, that his successor was able to find solutions in a very short time doesn't speak for him.

Still think we'd stayed up and have a few points more distance to the last 3 with how bad Ipswich and Leicester became in the last 11 games, but it would be 16th and 17th in a battle with Wolves, with a huge gap to the region we are now with a chance to become 13th.
Well let’s see where we finish before we discuss that.
