dyche thinks

He is that good and there were so many clubs lining up for him that he has gone from Premier League Manager to Talk Sport Radio co host.

Pretty much says it all mate. Good luck with the DJ'ing Dyche.
Probably pay's better and you dont have to deal with ungrateful fans.

He's no one to blame but himself, had good will from a decent section after last season and went full dyche this season. We've had a lot of managers not up to it lately, but he's the one who can blame himself the most imo
I think that is fair.

He had done really well to keep us in the Premiership for two seasons and this season with signings made during the summer he had the opportunity to turn us into a mid table club with a base to build on for the future but he just couldn't leave his defensive at all costs style behind.

His treatment of Jake O Brien alone was nearly a sackable cause preferring a 40 year old ahead of him.
Lindstrom and Harrison have both improved since he left .
Beto was given a chance by Moyes and took it.

It really was a season of mismanagement by SD.

I regret this because it clouds over the good work he did before that.

I'm just making the point that most Everton supporters rated his performance here overall and under the circumstances and that we'll hand him our best wishes for whatever he does next.
I do for his first 1,5 years, but it was overdue that he was gone this season, there were 2-3 managers that got a worse output of their clubs tho with Martin and O Neil, myb Ange and Lopetegui. I wish him the best and to succeed at his next club, but I'm not sad at all.

I think everyone wanted a new manager in the summer. But Dyche would have got us safe again this season too, no question about that IMO...with the tat below Everton it was inevitable we'd have survived anyway without Moyes.

I think history will be reasonably kind to him, Thelwell and others that kept us afloat on and off the pitch in the horror period. A functional Everton should never have a place for him. We have certain expectations because of our history and DNA, it probably seems illogical from the outside because of our barren years, Dyche never understood the demands and never would. It was always going to be a matter of when not if the mismatch imploded. I wish him well but hope to never see that type of appointment again

TBF, he pretty much said as much from day one: that he'd never have the Everton job under normal circumstances.

I liked his honesty.

It’s also extremely short sighted (as usual)

Managers need a break, there’s not many who jump around mid season between clubs in the bottom half. Dyche left Burnley near the end of one season then was back in at Everton by the January of the next one and people called it a huge period of unemployment. Laughable.

He’ll be in another job when the time is right for him and the other club. Until then he can continue to trigger Evertonians who have looked past how he steadied the club in a difficult time to focus their hatred on his use of the word grass, how he touched his head in press conferences, and how he had a go at the fans that time that he said ‘the fans have always been good with me here’.

Probably.
We had 17 points when Dyche was sacked. Ipswich had 16 and Leicester 14.
Those two now both have only 17 each.
Being marginally better than the worst bottom 3 in prem history shouldn't be celebrated though, nor should it be the target.

We were on course to finish on 34 points when Dyche left. We now currently have 34 points.

It's a beautiful sight to behold now: he's still running rounding their heads singing Blossoms songs.
