New Everton Stadium

Isn't the actual definition of an obstructed view at Everton if the goal is partially blocked? Sure it was anyway.
They take it that everyone is sitting and that there is nothing in the way of the goal posts while everyone is sitting down. That`s why seats up the back of the Gwladys Street are not down as obstructed views, but when game time comes and every in front stands up you can`t see the goal at the park end.

It's also about carrying on some traditions and old practices from the old stadium to the new. That sterile format of searching people for food 50 yards from the stadium is not exactly encouraging the Evertonisation of the new stadium.

It's petty and it's designed to squeeze every penny out of people already heavily committed financially to the club.

It may be worth seeing what happens when it isn't a test event before reacting too much.

Probably been discussed before but what do people think about the type of fan that is going to start going to the new Stadium?

I know quite a few Man City fans who have been complaining about tourist fans, and seem to be unhappy with how the club are selling tickets for this expanded stand.

Obviously we haven't got the current/recent success to attract "tourist" fans and maybe i'm being naive but I feel like our support will largely stay very similar and authentic in line with how it is at Goodison. E.g fans who have supported us for years for whatever reason through the good and the bad, and younger fans who have inherited the club from family members.

I don't see us being the same as West Ham, Spurs, Man City or Arsenal in that regard. Their ground moves all have elements that have attracted the "tourist" fans in a way I don't think ours will.

If we became successful I imagine that would change.

We want tourist fans mate. That's were the money is.

If I'm being totally honest, i think season tickets are going to get very expensive in the next few years.

They have been reasonably priced to begin with to support the transition but i see them increasing.

I'm not saying i agree i with that, but that's im almost certain is what's going to happen as soon as they feel they can do that.

I think the capacity is such that there wont be much room for tourists given how many members we have that will snap up the ~10k GA tickets available.
