Didn’t try it but seemed to be very popular, £15The Tai Pan is in the stadium doorstep pre or post match. On another note did anyone try the Fish an chip stall in the Plaza before the game, price/ quality ?

This whole 'checking for and confiscating food stuff' thing seems quite arbitrary. We were not checked and neither did I see anybody else getting checked when we went in.I must say, that's a terrible look for a new stadium: a table at the entrance for confiscated food.
How 'kin petty can you get? The thieving gets.
I cant see that lasting for long.
I know there are also going to be a few independent street food venders close by when the season arrives .The Tai Pan is in the stadium doorstep pre or post match. On another note did anyone try the Fish a chip stall in the Plaza before the game, price/ quality ?
I think going forward we’ll see that as the norm rather than the exception but how it’s actually enforced who knows .This whole 'checking for and confiscating food stuff' thing seems quite arbitrary. We were not checked and neither did I see anybody else getting checked when we went in.
Possibly some over zealous members of staff![]()

The actual chip shop that the van is from serves the best fish and chips I've ever eaten. The Tai Pan is in the stadium doorstep pre or post match. On another note did anyone try the Fish an chip stall in the Plaza before the game, price/ quality ?
Top notch, had many fish and chips and Ice creams from Nicholls when over in Parkgate. The actual chip shop that the van is from serves the best fish and chips I've ever eaten.
If some fans tie flags and banners to the rails above that wall then that could also interfere with how others watch the game / see the pitch (a/ the banners content would be eye-catching in itself and deflect attention to them; b/ if they're not secured they can billow about and spoil a view).Got no idea how you can be so sure Andy, it will be marginal. It might be fine, it might be fine some of the time, it might be blocked all the time. The only way to find out is to sit there and see with your own eyes.
Of course if that bloke standing there is 6'7" then that changes it a bit as that line would start lower down, but that's why I'm NOT saying it will definitely be blocked. We wait to see.

I've also maintained all long I don't see this as a restricted view even if the corner flag is not seen. It's a miniscule part of the pitch.
The rugby in Rome a few weeks ago was played the day before Roma played at home on the Sunday, so its able to be done at short notice. We’ll request to be away that weekend. It’s how it works. Otherwise it’s too quick of a turnaround time and no guarantee we could play Sunday/Monday.
The stewards are being put in danger by the club with this petty policy. They cant police that issue in safety.
The test event atmosphere is all good will and wonderment atm. When that novelty wears off - and fans are trying to cut down on the amount of cash they're being charged to go the game, all expenses included - the resentment will spill over.
The club either ask the vendors inside the stadium to lower their prices (not likely), or they allow people to bring a reasonable amount of their own soft drinks / foodstuff in.
My god, the home of the wools.
