Everton Youth Teams Thread

We have experienced something similar but with the likes of Emiliano Lawrence & Ishe Samuels Smith in recent years.

The two of them would of probably made there first team debut's by now if they stayed with ourselves, even if it was just an appearance or 2
(In Samuels Smith's case, probably only a Mykolenko injury away from a real chance of playing week in week out.)

They will probably get some excellent loan moves at some point due to the contacts the likes of City & Chelsea have, but sometimes that isn't best for a young player and they get caught up in the system.

I think over the next 5 years we will see a lot more movement of players from 14-18 across al sorts of PL sides.
In Ishes defence, the club sold him rather than him choosing to leave.

I don't think this is true. Chelsea just bought him for £4m. We were absolutely desperate for cash that summer.

I'm pretty sure its true as I remember thinking we had no backup left back and as he was so highly rated...maybe he could get into the 1st team squad because of it.

That was a reason for him to sign the contract with him doing the above and getting called up into a couple of matchday squads.

I just did a google and found this:

Although there had been some speculation mounting over the last week around the future of 17 year old Ishe Samuels-Smith, it still came as a bit of a surprise to learn that he has seemingly declined a first professional contract with Everton and reportedly decided his immediate future will be at Chelsea.
