2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

It’s the only logical conclusion mate. He will get a deal somewhere for sure, but maybe not at the numbers or the role he feels he deserves.

Don’t know if you’ve heard the rumours that the deal on the table for him here was withdrawn.
Hadn't heard anything to that effect but yeah I assumed it had been taken off the table long ago, he's shown nothing the last few years to suggest he's worth 130k a week or whatever it was.

He was offered a very good deal here mate. Believe there was a bit of annoyance at the club in how he/representatives dealt with/strung the club along.

The game moves fast, even here if he was fit, he’s not walking straight back into this team - before you even look at his contract situation - he hasn’t been missed.

I reckon Moyes would drop Beto like a stone if DCL was fit.

definitely time to move on from dcl (and beto etc) - need a complete striker overhaul. And midfield, though midfield has some things which we can keep, forwards, not so much.

Still prob the hardest position to get quality in...look at how teams above us have struggled get decent ones, apart from the odd outlier like wood

Would only have him now on massively reduced terms. Patchy injury record and just not a good enough finisher tbh. We’re absolutely desperate for a ruthless number 9 to finally replace Lukaku.

I hope not. I suspect Moyes would love Calvert-Lewin. But he needs dropping like a stone if we are to progress. Cannot be bothered watching a striker who misses virtually every chance he gets for another few seasons.

He's made his bed. We need better. Shouldn’t play for the club again, unless we have no other option between now and the end of the season.

You have to say that regardless of what it means for the future, that's as clear an indication as it can get that the plan has not gone well for him.
