If he could learn that sometimes you just need to put you're foot through the ball into row Z...........
 

He runs like he has a prosthetic limb & has absolutely no right foot. Like probably the most useless swinger I've ever seen on a professional footballer. Or pub player for that matter! My bum twitches when he's in possession.
I'm sure Koeman will sign another CB. If we want to kick on, we cannot rely on this standard of player. Not even on the bench.

He's an accident waiting to happen imo. Got away with it last season as his mistakes were somehow unpunished. But the beauty of that is only our fans realise just how many brainfarts per game he has. Still Argie no 1 and on paper part of a solid Everton defence, so his stock is quite high. Will also want regular game time in WC year.

I would sell personally and put proceeds towards another left sided defender who is more reliable. Would fetch 15/20m at current prices. Cant see us bringing in another CB whilst hes still here as once Keane on board we're ok for numbers in that dept.

What I dont know is his injury situation. He'll be hard to sell if not fit. Does anyone know how ling hes out for.

Behave if anything his mistakes are way way over exaggerated, the other defenders jags, Williams and stones before them made just as many if not more, and not only that but their mistakes actually led to conceding goals, mori's occasional bad pass or slice leads to no harm

Hmmm, I can't see mori lasting beyond this season like but yeah guess he will be decent back up.
I'd say Penno out on loan an then eventually sold. So maybe too soon to get rid but I hope they are both replaced ASAP.

I tend to agree with your posts on a lot of things mate but not this I'm afraid. He is indeed prone to the odd misplaced pass and sliced clearance but, for me, his biggest problem is his frequent lapses in concentration. Or brainfarts I believe I referenced them. He often loses his man or is caught wrong side in dangerous positions, or is simply caught ball watching. As you say, we haven't been punished for these mistakes but I put that down to luck more than anything else. A lot of luck. I agree Williams and Jags also make mistakes and Jags, in particular, for some reason generally gets punished for these. I actually don't think there is much to chose between the 3 of them if I'm honest. Jags has lost that turn of pace which always gave him the edge, and Williams is the type of defender who excels in back to walls situations, which is not what we need. We need somebody good in the air and with pace so we can play a high line press. The reason I would sell Funes Mori is he still has decent stock and will fetch a good price which can be put towards a replacement. Williams and Jags don't, but would be decent back up.

Williams, Jagielka, Keane, Mori, Holgate and Pennington.
Mori to be sold and Pennington out on loan. If that happened I'd still buy another centre half and maybe release jagielka.
