He was brought in to steer us away from the relegation zone...with the players and squad he had/has at his disposal.

Can you remember what the situation was like on Sunday night 26th November 2017?
13th is not the relegation zone though is it? he came in when we were mid table ish and playing crap, i still find it hard to believe that our shortlist was him and Silva, there must have been other options surely?

No mate, he came in after the Soton away game.

That's the big problem...there isn't anyone else out there.

Im really quite worried about who the next appoinment will be, i honestly don't see Fonseca wanting to come into this mess at the moment, also the longer Shakhtar keep going in the CL he will get better offers than us i imagine.

It’s a no win situation. Sack him now and we go down and he says he would have kept us up.
No wonder he wants to be sacked now

Would this Fonseca chap be able to come in...hit the ground running...so to speak or would he be given a £300 million war chest in the summer to 'get things right' ?

Questions...questions eh?

We are so so lucky this year that around 35 points should be enough to avoid relegation and everyone else below 9th position is crap

Sack him now and you give a replacement enough time to assess the players. We then have a fighting chance of a decent start to next season.

Sadly Moshiri doesn't look like he has the faintest idea who he wants to replace Allardyce with beyond pipe dreams like Simone and Fonseca, so we'll wait, fail to find a suitable replacement and go into next season with BFS.

I think he would need the war chest mate. I have watched Shakhtar a few times and they play some really nice one touch fast paced passing football. We just don't really have the sort of players to play that way in our squad at the moment. Apart from maybe Walcott and Coleman we don't have anyone who has that much pace, also they play with two deep lying playmakers, and we all know the quality of our midfield! Bernard who is one of their better players is actually on a free in the summer, but he will have a choice of many clubs, Fred is going to end up at City by the looks of things. The one thing about getting Fonseca is that he is part of the Jorge Mendes stable which if you look at some of the players he managed to bring into Wolves, there is no reason we wouldn't be able to do the same here. Knowing Everton though it will be Pardew on the sidelines at the start of next season.

Problem with Sam, apart from his dire footballing philosophy, he believes the job is below him. Does not fight for the team. Would rather point the finger, and blame everybody and anybody, apart from himself. Should never have been given the job. It’s a problem that can be resolved. Need to be sacked.
