Just watching the highlights of the first goal. He boxes out a defender that may have gotten to the ball before Theo. Think he will surprise many by keeping Zouma out for more games than people thought. He and Mina could be a perfect partnership. Or conversely I also think if we needed to go 3(5) at the back a cb grouping of Holgate Mina Zouma would be able to play that system very very well.
 

Distribution woeful, but the lad is solid. Pushes Capt Jags further down the pecking order too so it is indeed all gravy.
 
Defensively he is fine but he is the worst passing outfield player at the club by some distance and unless he fixes it his career will be hindered by it

This is some statement. Think it has to be Jonjoe or Tom (at times) for me. Also I don't think he did a lot wrong with the ball and was hindered at times having to play long when he didn't have Gana, Davies, or Schneiderlin to play out to.

I'm being serious. I can't be arsed to go look for last season but today his pass percentage was 60% which considering his position and how much possession we had under limited pressure is pretty poor. Only Tosun was lower but generally strikers will have lower percentages because they typically are playing aggressive passes while defenders are recycling possession. He actually did decent last week but often he reverts back to what he did today which is inaccurate medium range passing and too many long attempts

Forgot about Kenny he certainly struggles at times at well but Davies is decent enough. Today though Holgate was very much the weak point in our buildup play and he will be dropped if it doesn't improve
 
Thought he was good in the tackle today ! Had a bit of snide about him but his heading was bad ! Like per koldrup ! Looping up in the air !
