ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I heard a lot of their fans already spewing the "taking nothing for granted" line and expecting us to believe it.

If they mess this up Klopp will be run out of town with a pitchfork up his rear.

It's all or nothing now maybe that will get to them, though hard to see it when everything is in their favour.

I’m having trouble actually putting some sort of scenario to this “hate Liverpool more than love Everton scenario” but here goes. The RS are gonna get relegated, we are gonna win the League going into the final game of the season. We’re playing the RS rivals for relegation. Beat them and we’re Champions and the RS stay up. Lose and we finish runners up and the RS get relegated. To me and most other Blues would obviously be for us to win. But if you hate them more than love us, it would men youd rather see them relegated? Genuinely don’t know how this can be quantified, obviously we all want them to lose, but surely not at our expense?
We require a period of success in which time they become irrelevant for it to make it clear that we could win that without it being any more than an academic question. That's the ideal scenario. However...

Bitter blue? They stole the name of our city and sullied it. They killed those poor Italian lads and forced people out of their homes. Their countless acts of thuggery that continues to this day. Everton were created for the benefit and well being of the people of Liverpool; they were a crass creation to make money for some opportunistic businessman. When people were hurt, we stood respectively behind them whilst they sang songs about young men dying in the snow in Munich. At every instance they have behaved deplorably. For the greater good, they need to be purged - unfortunately, the generations that know them to be a 2nd division team are disappearing now. We need to be done with their media infiltration and their deplorable manager turning with loathing when they don't get their way and their despicable racism.

What we need in charge is someone like Sir Alex Ferguson who will revel in knocking them off their perch. Not just for the good of Everton, but the good of Liverpool.

And that, my friends, is the despicable history of the cult across the park.
Very well described Yarrgh. 'The Uncensored History Of Libpooleffsea'.

No. Winning and keeping them up but capturing the title would hurt them more than us losing the title and them going down.

It's quite an easy credo to understand.

Yeah I know Dave...and that cant be changed. But its a quick way of not reacting to them winning...flatlining them. Believe me its effective...Ive perfected it to an art form through the years here and its an analgesic because they still fall for it. All together now....Kopites Are …."
That's impossible unless you live in Timbuktu.

Doesn't matter, both Salah and Niasse went down with the slightest of touches, and that is where the rule comes in, if a player has committed an act of simulation to con the ref, and in both incidents there is not enough contact to warrant them going down, so it doesn't matter Salah had control of the ball, he still dropped to the floor with the slightest of contacts, so a blatant dive.

Didn’t he do sommat similiar to win a penno off Cuco in the Anfield cup derby this time last year?

Go down under the slightest of touches?

I'm hanging on for another week at least before throwing the towel in.

If they drop a couple of points v Arsenal and then lose to City, suddenly the gap to City is down to 2 points. The Goodison derby to come as well.

It ain't over till it's over.

Putting it the opposite way, I'd be sorely tempted for us to take one on the chin and take relegation to stop them winning it... we could come back up in a year and all would be as it ever was...

It's a price, but up against Klopp gurning frantically from every available angle for a year and Salad being anointed as the New Pharoah, I dunno...
