It's good time to sell Digne as he is reaching his prime peaking maybe a year or so ago. Sometimes it's bordering frustration watching him passing sideways or backward, and he's quite weak in dribble up field. Almost rarely does his set pieces delivery result in goal too and his deadly crosses into the box has been too far and few these days. We definitely need younger and more skillful LB as well as RB.
A manager that doesn’t ban him from venturing past the halfway line would probably help

Is this a Brands signing or a Benetiz or a Moshri?
Who can we blame when he turns out rubbish?
Why can’t we just find and sign great players?

A Benitez signing.

He's getting blamed for everything with some here so why bother asking?

Because great players don't grow on trees, don't move for cheap and usually to clubs who are in the Champions League and has a chance of winning it. Everton has to build to qualify first.

So tired of this. His PRIMARY JOB is defending. If his standards at this side of his game have dropped, why on earth would a manager encourage him to push forward and risk being out of position too? Every manager I know of who's won trophies has ensured the back line is a tight unit. Otherwise you just become Newcastle under Keegan or us under Martinez.

OK I should have qualfied that with, he was their best player in a poor side. Which is kind of meaningless really. Which is what you are saying essentially and what I was trying to get at.
To be fair good players can come from anywhere. Where he is coming from doesn't bother me at all.

I do remember Benitez having trouble with the full back spots at the RS back in the day, especially the whole mess with Josemi and Jan Kromkamp and the really weird situation where Villareal bought Kromkamp and then swapped him for Josemi before he had even kicked a ball for them.

He may be good, he may not be, who knows? I only really knew of him because he was a regular on those lists that publications like World Soccer and The Guardian do regardless the best up and coming talents in football a few years back.

The other Ukrainian he signed wasn't the best though, Andrei Voronin. He has better hair than him at least.
