No. If we recruit a manager before a DoF the whole thing is dysfunctional, like the last five years. We either jack in the DoF model or we let the DoF run the football side of things.

He has unfinished business in PL. Roma seemed to be a desperate roll-of-the-dice, just to stay relevant (It seems that ways at least). Everton would give him a chance to thumb his nose at his detractors in England. He does not seem to be a guy who lets a slight go without reacting to it.

Martinez actually understands Everton. He is much better than a lot of the names mentioned. Moshiri and Kenwright are always going to appoint clueless garbage managers. So sometimes lesser of the evils is all you can expect.
