So here’s the thing. I don’t know figures but let’s say these guy offered us £100m for a two year deal to have their dodgy ugly online casino branding on our shirt.
Let’s say something more appropriate like Hovis bread offered us the next best offer and it was 100m over five years signed up.
As much as I’d prefer a nice wholesome loaf of bread over a smelly casino, the club needs funds!
Bruno G didn’t join Newcastle for the prestige or humanitarian reasons, money talks and we need ours.

Very disappointing for me . We declare a strategic review and out of it comes an admission that yeah, basically our values are such that we will accept money from a gambling firm if the price is right.

The whole sport is backed by morally corrupt money, including our own team. I really don’t get how people are fuming about a sponsor when our owner has massive links to a country literally trying to destroy another country.

I hope it something that makes even more heads fall off.

The fake outrage is tiresome. Countless more lives are ruined through alcohol but no one cares about the commercials or sponsorships they take out
Fake outrage? Not fake at all. I hate that the Club have done this and wish they hadn't. But my problems are my problems. I am not going to go back to gambling because of this. I just wish they would give people a choice to buy the shirt with no sponsor on it.

I am not belitting alcohol related addiction far from it. But same applies. Seeing those adverts shouldn't be the cause of anyone to drink. Same as me seeing a gambling advert, despite being an addict, won't make me bet. If I wanted a bet I could easily do it. Seeing it on a shirt would not make a difference to me. But that's my personal opinion.

Utterly dreadful that I will have to stop following a club I've followed for forty or so years. I'm ashamed that they've sunk to this depth. In a stroke they undermine all the principles of care they show with EITC. Hypocrites.

Someone let me know when it changes.
You are following the wrong sport if you are intent on pursuing some kind of supporter moral high ground.
