Re ICU @ St Mary's, yep. When she was first due they had a bed reserved for her and spruced up. It wasn't used for the whole duration.
Suffice to say that given how stretched things are anyway it wasn't particularly welcome.

I tend to do it all manually, so have a spreadsheet where I log how far I've gone and how long it took. You've picked a perfect time to start though, what amazing weather we've having (you know you gotta get back on a road bike though, right?
)
I believe it uses GPS to monitor your ride, and then gives you a time up particular chunks of it (say a local hill), which you can compare with other riders. Something like that anyway.
Yep, it seems popular amongst cyclists, although it's not something I've bothered with myself. Not really fussed about comparing my rides to other people.
