2023/24 Sean Dyche

Two things:
1. We know Dyche really, really doesn't rate Patterson. Currently 4th choice, behind even two players that aren't natural right backs in Young and Godfrey.
2. In some of the player interviews, I've seen quite a few of them say how Patterson is by far the loudest player in the squad behind the scenes.

Can imagine Patterson was being a bit boisterous at dinner and Dyche had given him a playful clip around the ear that connected too hard.

I doubt he'd have done the same to most of the other squad members. Highly unprofessional from the manager, especially if it was in public.
Familarity breeds contempt.

Patterson is being giant fart if he's crying to his agent over this.

How would you react to your manager giving you a clip round the ear in the office in front of all your colleagues?

When it’s already abundantly clear he doesn’t rate him at all, he picks on an easy target.

Dyche gives off the impression of such an out of date 80s ‘hard man gaffer’ who’ll pick on the little fellas to stamp his authority.

Dyche has no right to playfully slap any player, as if it was the other way round that player would not play again whilst he (Dyche was in charge) Patterson probably won't play anyway along with Chermiti as he got too long getting ready to come on in the 87 min v United.

Dyche needs to start getting results because at the moment he is taking us down with his stubbornness of playing the same players in the same system that clearly is not working.
