Everton Football Club has appealed the decision of an independent Commission to impose a two-point deduction on the club following its admission of a breach of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules.

An Appeal Board has been appointed to hear the case after the club lodged the appeal to the Chair of the Judicial Panel today. The case will be heard on an expedited basis, in accordance with the League’s Standard Directions.

For clarity and certainty for all clubs and fans, the Premier League will be seeking to have the appeal resolved urgently with the outcome confirmed in advance of Sunday 19 May, the last day of this season.

Typical they rush it, for rushing it sake. just so its all clear going into the final game, if needed. Shows the 1st one could have been done and dusted way quicker than it should have been for example, which goes without saying really.

Look at the clubs though. 2 newly promoted trying to stay in the league and spent (Leeds & Forest)

Then you have us, Leicester, villa, Newcastle who have attempted to gate crash the top 4 or sustain being a "top" 6 club.

The way things are set up in order to do that is to hope the gamble pays off and/or sell players high then reinvest.

In other words, you can't compete at that end without gambling first. Eventually you'll have to put on the breaks. Top 6 don't have to

Absolute joke of a process and an organisation - they will rush it through so it’s all done well before the last game, but have dragged their heels with the other appeals and the takeover like they’ve got sod all else to do.

We had that first 10 points taken off for bloody months before they could be arsed to sort the appeal.

Still piddling about with the takeover, loading uncertainty all over the club, employees, players and fans. Sick of them.
