I strongly suspect that, given our circumstances, Moyes probably is the best we can get. Ambition is all very well - and for the first time in years I can see it taking root in our long-term plans - but the better (exciting) mangers go to clubs in good shape.

so he’s not a good manager

great lets get him in

I find it a shame that so many don’t care about loyalty. If anyone leaves the club under bad circumstances there’s no coming back for me. Have a bit of pride ffs. That seems the way these days though. I get that. The excitement over Romney’s return after being crap at Utd for 2 or 3 years, Landon Donavon on a legends flag, praying for the return of Richarlison. All after effects of a fan base largely brought up by Kenwright.

There’s hardly any loyalty in football as it is, any manager that comes in is doing it for a pay check.

If I could think of an Emery equivalent of be all for it but I'm struggling to think of someone.

Don't want the Hoofball Rat anywhere near us:

For all the talk of wanting a more progressive manager, we need to factor in the fact we are still in a huge mess. It's all very well saying I want X or Y - not many people would want to come to us currently.

That doesn't mean I'd be thrilled with Moyes, just pointing out stuff like "why not go for Fonseca" (as an example) isn't telling the whole story.

In their history they have never had a problem so far either pulling the plug on a manager or offering a short term stop gap manager contract.

Don't want Moyes, but I'll say one thing now, we won't go down with him either.

A contract till the end of the season I can just about stomach and in a strange way him being in charge the last game at Goodison and being binned before the first game at BMD would mind of give final closure over the entire Kenwright era and out the Moyes back to Everton stories in the rear view

Somehow it's Moyes' fault and not the fact that SAF decided to retire.

Ferguson won them a PL title with players like Tom Cleverly. He was a one a of a kind manager and no one could have maintained his level of success for them.

They sacked Moyes not even a year into his contract and it's been almost 11 years since.

You won't find a United fan with positives to say on Moyes
