If you were a supporter of one of our relegation rivals then I reckon you'd hate us appointing Moyes instead of taking more of a gamble.
That's probably a fair point. I'm depressed about the paucity of ambition in this, but that's fair comment.

Yeah, let's all be real here: if he's the appointment, then the quality of that decision basically comes down to the length of the contract. If they can swing a 6-month one, then this seems like a no-brainer. Guy who would almost certainly keep us up, plenty of experience with the league, the club, etc. etc.

And that leaves everything open for the complete rebuild project that I'm sure they have in mind for the summer, with half the squad gone, new stadium, new manager, maybe new DOF, etc. etc.

If it's 18 months or longer, wouldn't love that at all.

Can we save all the bedwetting until we at least find out that much?

Its 18 months with an option.

Not keen on moyes...but realistically there are not many other "free" options. Did well at both west ham and Everton for most part. Not so good in the other clubs, in particular his experience in spain was really bad where it really showed that he is very much one dimensional and possibly only good for pl clubs. There are so many young talented managers but the club is really at risk of relegation and I guess it would be a safe choice, same as dyche was 2 years ago.
