Last Film You Watched

I’m not usually into feel good films, but I really enjoyed this - Champions. ( on Netflix )

Woody Harrelson plays a disgraced pro basketball coach who gets caught drink driving and is sentenced to 90 days community service, coaching a basketball ball team, made up of young adults with learning difficulties.

Harrelson is wonderful in his role, as are the actors who make up the basket ball team.

You can see the end coming a mile off, but that doesn’t matter as it’s such a heart warming film and really funny too.

A really good film to watch if you’re on a bit of a downer, as it’ll cheer you right up.
Peanut butter falcon is also very good if you get the pertinent link to this.

Watched "Elevation" last night. Fairly hum-drum sci-fi post-apocalyptic number with a faintly interesting idea about humanity being restricted to living above 8000 feet ("The line") and the mysterious unstoppable monsters that lurk below. It wasn't great...passable I guess.

In other news, Bond franchise is now owned by Amazon. I liked Connery and Moore, anyone after that.....nah.

The format has gone really stale and repetitive - maybe Amazon can do something new and interesting with it. A "Q" branch movie techno-thriller with loads of cool gadgets and weapons would be cool. Or one about "M" in his younger days as an agent who did just as much killing and goosing as Bond....

Anthony Mackie seems to have found him type cast in this type of film.

He`s a better actor than the films he usually finds himself cast in and possibly as he gets a bit older, he may get some decent film roles.
