Which season did you enjoy the most?

Of course, anything before 1995 is excluded, there are no right or wrong answers and we are all different.

2003 - David Moyes first season, Unsy!!!!!!, ROONEY, ROONEY

2005 - CL or so we thought!

2009 - FA Cup Final

2014 - 5th place

I will not include relegation battles, cos the whole thread is embarrassing enough.

I dont know about favourite, but this season had it all, it ended in defeat at Wembley, but we still believed at this point, since then we have only ever had false dawns and a taste of joy.

I can only comment on seasons I have witnessed. On that note, I would say it's between 2014/15 (some decent European ties), 2015/16 (cup runs), or 2016/17 (European qualification; run of games unbeaten).

A pretty miserable list, if you ask me.

Its a toss up between Moyes 2009 and Martinez 2014. We ended 08-09 season having already nailed 5th place and European football for the next season we enjoyed our FA cup final up until Supa Frank spoiled it all, but we went into the summer with a spring in our step right up until we got wacked 1-6 at home by Arsenal live on tv first game next season.
Matinez`s 2014 saw us play some great football and amass a total of 72 points in the PL, our highest every return, and in true Everton that, managed to still not get CL football after losing 2-3 at home to a struggling Palace side, a few weeks after spanking Arsenal 3-0.

It's sad what we consider successful seasons now. That being said, the one I enjoyed the most, where it was most fun going to the stadium and watching us on telly, was Martinez's first season. The wheels fell of very quickly afterwards but it was a hoot while it lasted.

I avoided using the word successful, cos we havent tasted success since 1987 and no, im not ignoring 1995.

True success for me is winning the League, cups are just icing.
