Your favourite Everton Season

Probably the last time we won the league. Nothing better than being champions.

Almost 40 years ago now. We've yet to even compete for a league title nevermind winning it in the 38 years since 1987 sadly.

This has been said a thousand times, but Howard going to Spain really was the beginning of the end for Everton as an elite level club.

As an alternative to the two obvious ones in the eighties...
Was it 78-79? I can't remember, when Dave Thomas was supplying Latchford all season long - he ended up scoring 30 league goals because we beat QPR? 6-2? on the last day of the season.
We also put 5 past Leicester...I think we scored 5 or more goals on at least three occasions. Pejic, Dobson, Thomas, Pearson, Latch, Ronnie Goodlass!

between 07/08 & 13/14 for me.

couldn't believe we were only two points off top of the league at Christmas in 2013 after an away win at Swansea then in typical Everton fashion lose at home to Sunderland on Boxing Day!
