2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

So 17 points difference, 27 points to play for.

I wonder what date we will be 100% safe? Some very tough fixtures in April so it might well drag till May!
Which of those bottom 3 is going to catch us? I get that it's good to know 100% we are safe but those 3 clubs now need over a point per game for the remainder of the season when they've been nowhere near that up until now.

This might be the worst 3 teams ever to go down. We've got saints on course to break derby's record and the 2 others will be lucky to break 20 points. The Premier league, with a few exceptions, will be a 17 team league with the 3 coming up going back down from now on.

Leeds may break through the glass ceiling but other than them what club is going to stick?
Leeds haven't started falling apart yet.

I can’t be bothered doing the maths but I don’t think Leicester or Ipswich will win another game.
I dont think we win many in April myself tho, thats my concern, some very good teams, based on their current form.

SO, lets say we all get 0 points, that means 17 points difference with 15 points on offer going into the Ipswich game on 3rd May.

Nobody is going to catch us, there isnt a world that exists in which we get relegated, I dont even care about testing fate by saying that.

I mean this thread has very little to do with Everton, im just trying to inject some Everton into it, merely for fun.

To be fair when we’re talking about the gap between the championship and the PL I think it’s important to note that loads of the teams who’ve come up in the last couple of years have lost key players after getting promoted and so are actually starting with a worse squad than got them up.

Ndiaye at Sheffield united and tella at Burnley were probably the main reason those sides came up and then they didn’t have them once they got here. Leicester lost their manager and dewsbury hall aswell as Casadei who’d been key in the first half of last season. Southampton lost adams and brooks, and bazunu to injury.

It’s hard enough trying to make the jump as it is but if your squad is actually dropping in quality you’ve got no chance.

You think we are going to get 0 points in April?
