Metro Mayor Steve Rotherham

BullensRoad

Player Valuation: £35m
By now his nonsense has proven his inability to be a responsible and progressive mayor for the LCR.

The interview with BBC today is further evidence of his damaging approach to any sort of future support to the development for the city's biggest private investment since Liverpool One.

Is there any chance TFG can put any sort of pressure on this chancer?

Dear Steve...

The only way to find out is to tell TFG. Make them aware of it. Rotherham and LCC will do nothing about it unless it becomes an issue for them. Are any fan groups doing anything about it, including EITC? If they aren't, why aren't they?

Repeating day after day on a fan forum about how difficult and possibly dangerous things now are and that they need to change isn't going to change anything. If it isn't a problem for those who can change it, it won't get changed. If it's not made their problem, then fit in with what now is or make other arrangements.

Tell TFG instead of GOT? Get fan groups involved to lobby Rotherham? Spray pig slurry over Sandhills station to show how the situation stinks? Do a parody at that weighing bridge with a lollipop man/lady and put it on TikTok, etc... to embarrass Rotherham?

Tell someone who can do something about it or, as Rotherham wants everyone to do, FIFO. What other choices are there?

Reading the BBC report, the complacency from Rotherham struck a stark contrast to his response to the Champions League final in Paris.

In a later statement, he added: “As a lifelong fan, and the representative for the Liverpool city region, I was outraged by the treatment of Liverpool fans at the hands of the French police. "The scenes outside Stade de France, before and after the game, were completely chaotic, with what appeared to be a breakdown of control and communication.

“What happened was difficult to witness. While fans travelled to the ground hoping for the night of their lives, it appears than the Gendarmerie went looking for conflict.

"More than any other club our fans understand the danger that poor policing and organisation at a football match can pose. It was disappointing how readily other teams’ supporters appear to have swallowed the lies and misinformation being perpetuated by UEFA and the French authorities – especially when social media has been awash with images that show the real truth."

My personal response to Rotherham would be to ask him has enough been done in preparation for BMD given that he claims to understand the danger that poor policing and organisation at a football match can pose.

There we go. More evidence to get him binned.

We have a fans forum, but it's completely useless.

….send him an e-mail, tell him you’ll not be voting for him next time because of his BMD failures. Let him know what a stark contrast his performance is with that of Andy Burnham, an innovative Mayor with foresight who makes things happen for Manchester, a Mayor that Westminster politicians listen to;

Even if 50,000 Blues didn't vote for him going off his number last time he'd still get in.

We need a new, vibrant candidate to step forward.

Also this is his 3rd term...is he allowed another one?

I`m not up to speed with the local politics, but it seems like this Rotherham bloke is just as bad as Blue Mayor Joe before him who has been accused of taking bribes if I remember. It seems whether it a blue or a RS politician they all have one thing in common,, they`re all looking after themselves first, and the local community is last on a long list of priorities for them.
