Perhaps we should have a draft email and we all send it to him, there are a lot of members on here, who if combined would surely be heard?
Have clubs/sponsors ever had to front up cash for infrastructure projects in the past? It just seems like something that should be sorted by the local authority tbh. I do feel like the club/TFG may be the ones who have to provide a solution though as the transport problems are indisputable and it’s a bit of a PR disaster for all.I'd actually respect him more if he just said, "I'm not using our budget on this, I'm instead using it on x,y,z but if the club or sponsors front the cash then we'll approve it".
Great planning and simulating has clearly gone in to the transport plans then.Rotheram said further work needed to be completed by Network Rail to allow for eight-car services to run along the line.
He said: "We will double capacity for the next test event and we'll see how that goes."
Rotheram said rail performance on Sunday had been "largely impeccable".
Doesn't seem to be what anyone who went is saying.Steve Rotheram said "99% of fans had a fairly decent experience" of public transport around Sunday's test event
It is exactly that. He's definitely a lot more 'the computer says no' than Burnham is over the other side of the 62. Would the stadium have even got off the ground if he'd have been in charge a decade ago?
It is exactly that.
Burnham listens to the people reporting problem's and tries to find solutions to fix them.
Rotherham semi listens, plays down the problem and then passes the blame for what little is left to someone else besides himself.
Someone above mentioned members of this forum sending a letter, I think it needs to go beyond this. The Fans Forum and all the other fan groups that got together to send letters to the PL and Government over the points deductions should be doing the same here.
" everyone got away in 20 mins"
There was probably only 10k left at full time. Not all getting the train
" more problems getting there than leaving"
That alone is a predictor of the problems when we have a full.house.
Sticking his tatty head in the sand
Social media has a part to play in highlighting issues immediately but is easily dismissed by someone as hard faced as Rotherham.he will also refer to you as a social media troll for highlighting genuine concerns on his posts

It needs to be backed up by emails/letters to his official address so that it is logged by the Mayor’s office. The official route means he can’t hide from FOI requests asking questions such as “how many complaints did you receive about the inadequate rail provision at Sandhills” etc.
A combination of “official” communication from the Club,Shareholder Association, Fans clubs alongside many individual letters from supporters is hard to dismiss. I’m wondering if an “open letter to Steve Rotherham” from various “official”signatories would get good media attention and traction.
I think the focus of our challenges should be more on his competence as a Mayor presiding over a regeneration project worth close to £1bn(as a starter) for the City of Liverpool as opposed to just being about Everton and the more partisan aspects.
What has he done to facilitate more investment to support this project plus plan for future projects that includes future infrastructure needs.
What did he do to try and rescue the Astra Zeneca vaccine factory investment etc?
In addition, constant references to how Manchester is forging ahead under a pro-active regional Mayor will sting someone with an ego like his.
Our best option is probably getting Carl Cashman the Liverpool Lib Dem leader in our corner. He's been campaigning about the poor infrastructure on his own but he's probably going to need numbers behind him. This is prime example of where the fans voices need to be reflected by outlets like the blue side of the Echo (Joe Thomas etc). Additionally, independent fan channels should take advantage of that independence they always push in your faces by really going to bat for the fans.
ToffeeTV in particular is the biggest fan media channel we have, the ginger one is more than happy to go ballistic about how he used to work on the railways and this should be done and that should be done.
However, they never kick up a fuss or raise concerns except on their platform where they know they will get views for it.
They have made a nice little niche for themselves in the last few years where Evertonians listen to them in big numbers because misery loves company and we have all been going through it. However, they barely got involved in any of the campaigns that I saw besides a few videos with the organisers because again that created good views for them.
Done !….send him an e-mail, tell him you’ll not be voting for him next time because of his BMD failures. Let him know what a stark contrast his performance is with that of Andy Burnham, an innovative Mayor with foresight who makes things happen for Manchester, a Mayor that Westminster politicians listen to;
