I've decided to let the University of Liverpool dissect my body into whatever bits they deem necessary. They also pay for your funeral when they've finished with you. The procedure is very simple to do :

Done the same, but Liverpool might have been a bit of a flight with the body so signed up with Stanford Uni.

Hopefully not much left after organ donation of course, although the liver might be a bit of a problem

I did say to hubby that if he is still around after it is all over that I’d like my ashes scattered in a local botanical garden but he might have to do the Great Escape approach to distribution.

My ashes scattered on Goodison will need amending unless I dont last till summer.
A grave can be of great comfort, but expensive, and down the line ,get forgotten about,and expensive.

Everyone must were something Everton, even a touch of blue.
Z cars on a loop,then 'time to say goodbye' or 'who wants to live forever'
The wake will be the local chippy, which has a seated area,all invited, friends old and new.

…just updating our wills now, got a draft off the solicitor and need to sign it off.

My 97yo Mother-in-Law was taken into hospital on Boxing Day and surprised us all by pulling through. She’s still in, blocking a bed because she’s not able to return to her home but goes into a Nursing Home on Monday. It means we’re having to sell her house to cover costs which is a shame so we’re looking to transfer our house to our kids in a way that’ll mean this won’t happen if one of us ends up in care.

Be careful mate, ive some experience of this and more people want to donate their remains then are required by the Uni's these days and the Unis are usually over subscribed and this can for want of better words lead to the Uni saying - thanks but no thanks - that can be a bit jarring for families and can often lead to unexpected costs for families or a sense of someone's wishes not being fulfilled - often its good to have a plan B and make others aware.

The Unis have got a lot better at communicating with families around this, these days - they weren't great in the past.
