Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this chilly one here ,I hope all are well and had a good night's kip after the display we had to endure last night .They were all over us like a rash ! How we hope to progress when players are picked who are simply not up to it worries me ,to think we would have to pay a fee for Harrison is a joke and if it is true that Dukes gets 130,000 per week then what is the world coming to ? Have a great day all ,we are of to have cryo treament ,that is the royal we .Onwards and upwards blues

Morning all, Beto a couple of inches off being onside, and three inches to the right and it would have been a different outcome. Fine margins even though they are miles ahead of us.
It’s just come up on my facebook memories that 7 years ago today I went to the first consultation event at St Luke’s with Dan Meis presenting his plans. It makes it feel great to see the new stadium and to have been involved in my own little way.
It looks like a lovely morning out there but the wind is strong and I bet it’s cool.
Have a great Thursday everyone 💙

Morning all, another sunny day here like elsewhere . We took our grandson bowling yesterday then the two of us enjoyed a wander on the banks of the River Spey in the sunshine, followed by ice cream . He’s a great lad, I watched him for about 15 mins climbing on trees dangling over the Spey, then called time on it . “ Ok grandad, I can see you’re getting a bit worried now” and off he popped up the bank. Hope everybody has a chance to enjoy the sunshine, have a great day .

I use to watch them play , Jimmy Case (spits) played for them at one time

Holly Park the former home of South Liverpool is a ground that I would have loved to have visited.

Founded in April 1935 SL began playing in the 1935/36 season in the Lancashire Combination at Holly Park. The ground stopped hosting matches in 1989, before the first team stopped playing in 1991 and the limited company went through the liquidation process, owing massive debts and was expunged finally in 1992. Holly Park was left derelict before finally being converted into the Liverpool South Parkway railway station.

Interesting fact:
Did you know Hungarian footballing legend Ferenc Puskas played in a charity match at the ground in 1967.

A club under the same name still currently plays in the North West Counties, Premier Division (9th tier) and play their home games at Jericho Lane which is in the Otterspool area of Aigburth.
Interesting fact. Our Paul went out with Jimmy Case's wife before he came on the scene. She used to live in Tewit Hall Close and I'm sure her name was Lana. A real looker as you would expect. Mind you, all our Paul's girlfriends were. Don't know how he did it. Jimmy's younger brother Frank used to play for Speke Town. Frank was a cracking lad.

We used to play the South in the County Comp. They were a decent side and always had a good fan base for that level. The NW Counties must have lowered their standards if they're accepting Jericho Lane as a home ground. We won the County Comp 3 times (which back then enabled you to apply for the NW counties). On the third occasion, (as a club, we were very close to the Liverpool County FA and often used to represent them in national competitions), they offered us the use of their facilities at Walton Hall Park, which was declined by the NW Counties as their stand was not fully seated. We were a pub side FFS.

Afternoon everyone from sunny Jersey. Full sun but very windy and much colder than the Liverpool that we left.

Regardless found a bar out of the wind , in full sun and 2 pints later got a face like a smacked arse 😂.

Going full Michelin dining tonight. I'm sure it will be good but I will still feel hungry afterwards.

Unfortunately can't really pop out for some chips afterwards as the hotel whilst beautiful it situated on a bay away from civilization 😂.

Dont suppose they will screen the derby tomorrow 😂
If you're getting the weather today that we're expecting later I feel sorry for you mate. How's the water supply.? I saw on local news that Jersey's having problems.

Anyway, enjoy your break. I never got to go to Jersey because Rob crashed his boat.

Good morning all on this fine day here ,I hope all are well and had a good night .Good luck with the blue badge @peteblue ,we have heard nothing about the Escape to Truro saga from @Barnfred 55 let us hope it is going to plan and he is out scouting a daybed for visitors from afar . Enjoy today folks as even Davey is feeling confident about the future in BMD. COYB
He was hoping to exchange contracts on the purchase before April 1st because stamp duty was changing then. But that didn't happen. It's all still going through though and they're hoping to actually move sometime in May. They're doing lot's of work on the property so it's probably going to be early next year before I move, which suits me as I get to spend summer around here. The sale of their house seems to be going through too as he got a phonecall when they were round having coffee yesterday saying that Lady Nott had made an offer. No idea whether it was the asking price, and the neighbours have gone on a cruise today, so it'll be a few weeks before I find out whether I have a very rich and, by all accounts, very classy widow moving in next to me. ;)

No problem with the water ....or the beer or wine..... 😂

This morning was lovely but heavy rain forecast for later so we will just have a late lunch and then get to the airport and back to.the sun of the North West.
