Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I doubt she'd ve interested in a Scouse scal like me.😀

She has her own wiki page FFS. Her name is Miloska and she is Slovenian. She's a recipient of the OBE, as is my eldest sister, so we'd have something to talk about. She was married 2 years before I was born though
You are doing yourself a disservice. However, I bet your sister actually did more for her OBE than the lovely Miloska.

Nothing you don’t deserve mate, nice one

Thanks guys, it’s just nice that they realise that the normal care stuff of washing, dressing, changing my wife is already covered by myself at a time of day that suits her. This is real practical support for things I actually struggle with…. The lady who did most of this is coming back in two weeks having asked me if there is anything else I need…wonderful people, I bought her a huge box of thorntons chocolates as a thank you…..

It’s an odd thing tbh. We’ve always stood on our own two feet and never asked for anything, feeling a failure if we ever did. But now one half of our team, Kay, is totally indisposed, I was fighting against asking for help. Fortunately it was my doctor who saw through all of this, saw how it was affecting me and got the right team involved. I will be eternally grateful to her….

So pleased for you and Kay that you will be getting the help you need. Asking for help is hard but admitting that we need it in the first place is even harder.

Good morning all on this beautiful day here .I hope all are well and had a good kip .Great news in the last week for @jazzy and @peteblue ,caring is the most intense time I have ever experienced ,24/7 so I admire both for their efforts . I nice bit of banter/craic on here which is the main thing I miss from Liverpool . When you leave you realise how near the bone some of the humour can be ,it seemed offensive to the good folks here until I wore them into submission .Today I am making a wholegrain farmhouse loaf from YT with 2oz of seeds to be eaten ( turn away the Philhellene) with Tzatsiki homemade of course .For those doubting I too eat chips with a fork when we have them . Have a great day all COYB

I can relate to that Pete, maybe it’s an age thing or a male thing , not wanting to seek help. This time 24 years ago I just about ran myself into the ground doing a full time job as a single parent of 3 teenagers, I was determined that I would show I could do this without asking for help . I ended up losing over a stone in weight , then changed my ways a bit.

This chip/ fork thing reminded me of my childhood comic hero , Alf Tupper the Tough of the Track. Alf would dash from work covered in grease, eat his fish supper from a newspaper with his fingers and with his energy renewed would go onto the track and beat the Toffs with a lung bursting final surge and a cry of. “I’ve run him, I’ve run him !” Happy days 🙂

It seems he might not be moving as far as expected ,when he intoduces milady to his special sausages and a nice G&T she might be all in a tizzy.
She's not far off 90 mate. If she's anything like my old mum she probably has a G&T for breakfast.

Plus one of my curries will probably see her off before she gets a chance to write me in to her will.😀

In fairness she got it for setting up a charity to help Bosnian refugees from the Balkans wars. She's still patron.

My sister couldn't tell you what hers was for. She got it on her retirement. She was a clerk of the courts in Liverpool.
