Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all, took the train to Lowestoft yesterday. My friend and I used to go there to stay with her aunt during the summer holidays so happy memories. Like lots of places its glory days are behind it but it was good to see that money is being invested in doing up the sea front and a family bought the Claremont pier and are restoring it. We spent a lot of time in the Claremont playing Bingo. A glimpse into our rock and roll teenage years there. The lads calling the numbers had nothing to do with it. 😂Here’s a few pics, including one of the Victorian postbox on the station because I’m a bit strange and like spotting old postboxes.

What a beautiful place that looks to just have a wander around on a nice day.

Love the pics. Fading Victorian seaside towns are amongst my favourite places - all a bit past their best but you can still see how great they were. It's why I'm so fond of Redcar.

Hi folks. Today's project was building furniture that has been delivered over the last few days. As it happens I am currently in daughter's house waiting for a plumber. She was supposed to be off but somebody failed to turn I'm for the breakfast shift. Incidentally baby day is now 23rd April - the 24th was over subscribed! So a very patriotic birthday for him 🤣

Good day all once again too busy to remember ! I found out today that my BIL who doed years ago had been wandering Europe (as you do ) at 17 and whilst in Spain he met a "lord " who invited him to dinner and served him unborn lamb .This turned my stomach so I googled it and it seems there is something called "Kutti pi "which is the same thing ,usually goat . I will eat most things but not that . Have a great day all.

Thank you Jebus, my dandelion honey slightly thickened over night. Lovely colour and taste, and not over sweet. These photos are the best you're going to see, the rest of the abominations are going to be locked away and, I believe :

With the way prices are continuing to rise, it’s possible that these classic resorts may once again become good holiday spots. Our ever increasingly hotter summers could well contribute to a renaissance.

Hello again. No building done today. The plumber was supposed to come between 8 and 12, I waited until 2pm before I phoned a contact number. Oh they said, the engineer rang but it went straight to voicemail. He has not got the part. I explained that my daughter worked in hospitality and would be unable to access her phone. I then asked at what point did he realise he didn't have the part - because who goes out without checking their stuff. Silence. Then an offer to rearrange for 22nd. How can you do that I asked, surely you have to know you have the part before you can rearrange. More silence. Load of rubbish if you ask me. For whatever reason they didn't want to do it today.
So I know what we'll be doing over the weekend- moving things and building!

The plumber obviously got a more lucrative job elsewhere today. Still no excuse at mind you, just bad manners.
