Good morning all on this damp day .I hope all are doing fine and had a restful night .I found out yesterday that cats eat clematis ,the little sod nibbled both leading shoots from two I planted .As my old Mum used to say "he is due a long walk on a short plank " .

Morning all, bright and sunny here. We’re off to meet son and family later for a walk with the dachshund at Fineshade Wood, which is about 15 miles away. Original invitation was to meet them in Hunstanton but having travelled that road (which is not the best) last week, we weren’t keen on going that way again so politely declined. The woods was offered as an alternative as the grandkids wanted to spend some time with us and didn’t want to go if we didn’t. This is lovely but also kind of sad as I think having just lost their Grandma it has dawned on them we aren’t going to be here forever.

Sat in the service reception of the garage in ....wait for it...Colne whilst they service my car.
There is an explanation, honestly....when I bought it they agreed a free first service and being the tight git that I am it's worth driving 60 odd miles and waiting an hour and a half.
Anyway it gives me time to catch up on all the nonsense of GOT on someone else's WiFi.
The best thing I've come across so far is Joey on the wildlife thread blasting water at 2 wood pigeons on his roof and the next day they crapped all our his car .....and people don't believe in karma.
Watched the first half of Newcastle v Palace last night and have to say I thought the barcodes were superb , they played exactly as I'd love to see Everton play. Hope Eddie Howe makes a full and speedy recovery - seems a decent bloke ( unlike his sidekick who I can't stand).When they get fed up of Eddie I'd be delighted to see him take over from Moyes . Eddie's supposed to be a blue isn't he?
Should be able to cram in some gardening this afternoon.

If Armagh make the Ulster Final this year I will struggle to even see the last game at Goodison on TV. Talk about conflicting emotions.
