Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Moyes gave us a solid 10 years. I always thought he was at his best with his back to the wall when coping with injuries etc, but was sometimes bereft of ideas on the few occasions he had a full squad to pick from. And he did have some fine players. Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Heitinga, Lescott, Baines, Arteta, Piennar, Fellaini, Cahill, Osman, Yakubu, Saha. But I felt that the time was right for everyone when he left and felt absolutely no animosity to him at all. He got a great send off on his last game at Goodison which made what came later all the more galling.

I did enjoy his first return to Goodison though.

Moyes lost the run of himself at the end and spectacularly so when it came to the United gig. It’s just business now though and it suits both us and him at the minute and I’m happy with that. Is he the long term manager? Very likely not and I’m happy with that too.

Hi guys, just checking in to stop people worrying. I;m struggling at the minute, headaches are bad and i've had a prolonged run. It has taken my mood right down so I'm not doing much, barely posting at all.

I'll hopefully be back around more soon, just need a break from my health, I've been sick a lot recently as well, been a rough few months.
We are all here when you are ready T.

Totally my thoughts too AT.

Moyes is the right man at the right time ......for now!

Is like to think that if Moyes can get us settled in the new stadium, in the top 10 and the finances are better than it will then be time to bring in a progressive young manager to take us forward playing attacking football.

Does it strike you as odd though that the length of Moyes’ contract was never made public? It may be shorter than many think.

Hello everybody- it is like a winter's day here. I have just put the heating on. This morning was gym, swim, then more visits to the tip. I'll be on their Christmas party list if I spend any more time there! I feel quite proud of my ruthlessness in getting rid of stuff. We then took a few things over to the house. Charlotte is here this afternoon. She will be a Mum by this time next week!

I have no real worries about Moyes, he’ll likely lead us to mid table early next season and if he’s massively successful that’s great. Our backstop is TFG, they’ve put money in and they’ll be ruthless, if he’s less than successful in the long run he’ll be gone . Just as long as we don’t get into another cycle of appointing the next big thing young manager only to sack him 8 months later.
