Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Inter costal muscles! We don't really use them much unless you are a bowler in cricket......except if you use a pick axe ⛏️......which I did all yesterday afternoon to break up the crusher run underneath the flagstone floor of the potting shed ( as a precursor to putting down topsoil and planting more bananas etc. ) So suffice to say that my ribs are killing me today.

So having done all the hard work yesterday it's plant shopping today. Probably unlikely to find too much exotic stuff locally so might have to go on t'internet.

Grass also needs a cut so it's no rest for the the wicked today.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Ah yes , that was the old theory about picking dandelions when I was a kid, as ever there’s a vague connection to the truth in these things!
Always trust what your elders tell you as they have been there and done that. Off tangent, a lecture I went to about place names recently said the experts always talk to the oldest person they can find when researching. The reason is that their pronunciation is almost always closer to the original Irish version before names were anglicised during the plantation. Old farmers in particular were cited as essential for being able to map Townlands.

Well that’s all my training done for Sunday’s marathon. I’m again running in a “Harris’s Heroes” vest ,I think I’ve mentioned the story before. Harris my Grandson sadly died at 7 days old and is my running buddy, and once again I have the name of a baby sadly taken to soon printed on each mile of my vest. The idea is the parents can keep their baby’s memory alive.

I’m now in the “ carbohydrate loading phase” , basically eating as much carbs as I can before the run 🙂
