Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this beautiful day here .I hope all are well and had a good kip .Great news in the last week for @jazzy and @peteblue ,caring is the most intense time I have ever experienced ,24/7 so I admire both for their efforts . I nice bit of banter/craic on here which is the main thing I miss from Liverpool . When you leave you realise how near the bone some of the humour can be ,it seemed offensive to the good folks here until I wore them into submission .Today I am making a wholegrain farmhouse loaf from YT with 2oz of seeds to be eaten ( turn away the Philhellene) with Tzatsiki homemade of course .For those doubting I too eat chips with a fork when we have them . Have a great day all COYB
Scouse and Irish humour can be certainly dark and near the knuckle at times. Everything is fair game really.

In fairness she got it for setting up a charity to help Bosnian refugees from the Balkans wars. She's still patron.

My sister couldn't tell you what hers was for. She got it on her retirement. She was a clerk of the courts in Liverpool.
Does your Sis include the OBE bit on forms and whatnot? What even is the done thing?

I can relate to that Pete, maybe it’s an age thing or a male thing , not wanting to seek help. This time 24 years ago I just about ran myself into the ground doing a full time job as a single parent of 3 teenagers, I was determined that I would show I could do this without asking for help . I ended up losing over a stone in weight , then changed my ways a bit.
Not easy raising kids on your own. Fair play mate.

The best tzatziki is always homemade

Flowers in our local churchyard are looking lovely in the Spring sunshine.

They really are. I think I’ve said before that I keep a piece of ground just to see what comes up each year. Every year is different but magical in its own way. Unfortunately one set of gardeners ruined it for a year or two, but the new guy has a similar opinion to myself……

I walk in our Graveyard everyday. Well that’s a lie but apart from days out and work. It’s beautiful in morning light, but in the evening it’s a community hub with easy chat to other visitors. Vibrant really. Strange post I know but small community and it all makes sense.

Good morning all n this lovely morning here ,just a dust of snow after +17° yesterday ! I hope all are well and had a good night ,of all my years I have never felt this indifferent toward the result despite knowing that a win is important for at least two reasons ,safety and more money to spend .It must be the years of trauma we have endured making this some kind of restful moment before the euphoria of BMD . It would be nice to get a win just so Mosey can chalk that off ,I think a win will see him at the new ground for a visit . It was a shock in a way to see De Bruyne is to leave for a big payday ! So help me what has he been getting as the highest paid player ? 385,000 per week and he is "hoping " for a "big " payday in the Middle East . Meanwhile the people of Ukraine ,Mayanmar and Palestine to mention just a few ,suffer starvation . Have a great day all COYB.

My brother has a patch at the bottom of his garden like that. The violets have been exceptional this year, never seen so many.

I walk through the churchyard quite often and it’s lovely to see the different flowers with the changing of the seasons, already the keck and cuckoo pint (some may know them as cow parsley and lords and ladies) are coming through. It’s strangely peaceful even though it’s next to a fairly busy road.

When Adam was a lad Anfield cemetery was a botanical masterpiece ,all trees and bushes named ,the same with Walton park .They had teams of gardeners half employed in chasing me off the grass or out of the trees . Anfield cemo was very peaceful and quite scary at night more so if there had been a grave redied for the next day
