Moyes sacked by United

Well said Rio. Moyes is a dinosaur and shouldn't be near big clubs like Manchester United who are famous for attractive, attacking football.

The thing is what I can't stand about that dour imbecile is his arrogance. He literally does think he's in the elite gang of managers just because he kept Everton treading water for 11 years and qualified for CL footy ONCE but even then, getting found out against Villareal and not properly qualifying for the competition's group stages.

He's an idiot.

I'll always respect Moyes for getting us out of the rut of permanent relegation battles.

Don't just gloss over his performances for Everton. On a budget we performed well.

Condescending so and so.

NEGGED.

Won a game have we????? :dodgy:

Moyes wanted 'more pace in defence' so dropped Ferdinand. I don't see the problem? He's been largely crap and slow for 3 years, and is being shown up for it at QPR, as well as last season.

Rio then decides to throw his toys out the pram and have a strop on with Moyes. Slanders someone who may well be actively looking for a job to sell his autobiography, which would almost certainly have a colouring section inside.

Poor sod, he was only paid 5 million quid for being crap at his job.

And he hasn't had stick from all quarters like some make out - people have slagged him off on internet forums which he doesn't read.

If anything, the tv pundits, newspapers and ex pros have given him an extremely easy ride considering how badly he did last season. Meanwhile, Rafael Benitez and Aston Villas Boas were ripped a new one by our fantastic, xenophobic press, even though they are far, far better football managers than Dour Moyes will ever be.

Moyes was definitely a disaster for United, it's obvious he got stuck in his ways and failed to evolve as a manager since the cup final in 09, but he was left with a mess of a squad last year.

Honestly, the amount of dead wood United had on their books last year was there for all to see. Any manager would have struggled with that transition.

As Ferdinand, it baffles me why people can't keep their mouth shut and maintain an ounce of dignity. Does he really need the money that much it requires him to bring a book out slagging off x, y and z?

Thing with Moyes's tenure with United is all of the blame is proportioned on him - let's not forget the scumbag Giggs with his backstabbing, obviously Rio was the same and brown nose Neville? Can see him turning Moyes over too.

The players didn't play for him. Because they didn't like their chips take away or because they had to walk for 10 minutes on a matchday?

Egotistical primadonnas should take as much blame in the whole charade as Moyes.

There's every chance he would've failed anyway but it's obvious the players weren't having him from day one. Doesn't help that most of those players were bang average at best as well.

We'll see an improvement this year, no one should delude themselves that it isn't primarily down to the money they've spent.

Oh of course mate, Moyes was done over by Ferguson. That squad that won the 2012/13 league is the worst I can remember. A once in a lifetime fit season for Van Persie and everyone else buckling is the only explanation.

That squad needed rebuilding before Moyes got there, coupled with Woodwards bodged transfer windows and the snide senior players in that side, and then the arrogant entitled supporters... Moyes didn't stand a chance.

I don't even like Moyes, but to blame it all solely on him is preposterous.

11 years. ELEVEN YEARS. And Moyes didn't win a pot and had you playing turgid, negative football at the same time. He's a bog standard manager and I am being kind - he's no better than Alan Pardew or Harry Redknapp.

The irony here is that if, let's say, Martin Skrtel in a few years wrote that Kenny Dalglish was a dinosaur in his autobiography, you lot would be lapping it up.
