Ronald Koeman discussion

It seems there's a few who's sole purpose on the forum appears to be to follow dave around arguing every single opinion he has or getting in sly digs against him with every post they make. Just my opinion of course.

You cruely derailed dave on his "Three Tier Premier League" thread. People who live in glass houses ...

Anyway on topic ..
Koeman's doing OK. Early days yet.

i think he is doing sound so far.

We finished 11th twice on the trot. We're 7th now.

He's trying to implement his style on players that it doesn't really suit, it's going to take time for us to become his kind of team. Investment, and time both of which he will get.

There are things he can improve on sure, i'm positive he will.

He's never worked with these players before, he needed time to see for himself what they were like and now he's had a good time to see them and that's why a lot of them have been dropped, and younger players been brought in. I think he'll continue to do this, i think he will work on getting the age of the squad down while bringing in experienced but not over-the-hill players.

If we have a good January, transfer target wise it gives us a lot to build on. We will be alright with Koeman.

Except mate, even when Koeman does drop a senior player for a youth player, he won't even offer anything positive towards the manager for it.

It is a personal attack on koeman and has been since day one. So it is entirely bias and speaks more about what he says when after a win with 2 youth players starting he is on here talking about koeman 10 years ago, which even yourself has put him wrong on.

Aye i know mate, thing is - i waas critical of his appointment, been critical a few times sicne of him, but it's about balance and saying yeah, can see why he needs time and can see why things i'm critical about he is deciding to do.

Looking back at ten years ago is fair enough, but see the errors made and maybe the lessons learned and know which one is most imprtant to reflect on

Koeman to Barcelona.

Completely laughable. Imagine the Nou Camp faithful putting up with the muck served here.
Sportitalia: Barça line up Koeman in case Luis Enrique leaves | Diario Sport
Sportitalia have made an announcement: Barcelona have already made contact with Ronald Koeman to hear his thoughts on potentially managing the club. According to the report, the Blaugrana are covering themselves in the case that Luis Enrique decides not to renew when his contract expires in the summer.
Koeman is an absolute legend in Barcelona.
Why does someone like you speak so much about something he knows nothing about.

There is no way Koeman has what it takes to get us into the places both Moyes and Martinez had us and keep us there.

The measure of Koeman will always be how close he can get us to top four, and I cant see - regardless of new personnel - the way he serves up his football (and his very streaky career runs so far with other clubs) as pointing in any direction than way off the pace of a top four berth.

It seems though that the bar has been lowered for most so that now three seasons of 7th will be deemed a success.

I think it's too early to judge Koeman's style yet Dave

There was some good football on display from us at times yesterday, especially in the lead up to the penalty

It could be that as he continues to settle in the football becomes gradually more aesthetically pleasing

I'd watch this space

He would get the job because he is a Legend, not because of his managerial career to be fair.

Agaisnt Hull and a knackered Southampton we played to feet. Do you think that;ll be the case against clubs above us or even around us in more equitable circumstances?

He reaches for the route one security blanket way too often. He's defo more route one than Moyes.
