Me too mate.

Apart from chanting the name "Tuchel" like a religious incantation I'm basically stumped.

Well, I nailed my colours to that mast years ago but who the hell knows...about the only thing I can condone is to continue throwing large wads of money at it and I don't know if he has the stomach or the means for going beyond what's already been spent. I do see a lot of tired and seemingly unmotivated senior players on that pitch, though.

Nobody could have predicted what happened in the summer, Koeman had 2 very good seasons with Saints.

Hate all these "throw £50m at X shouts" for midtable PL players in their mid/late twenties.

We need to be signing players on the up who will add energy to our team.

It is OK signing the odd "peak value" player but it is terrible business in the long term. It is the exact trap the likes of Villa/Newcastle/Sunderland fell into. We need to be signing players at 18-24 and getting the best years of their careers, or selling at peak value. What we are doing is brainless, we'll get none of the Bolasie/Williams money back. We need 5 or so really good, high energy players who can be the mainstay of the side for years.

Cannot overstate how gutted I am with the signings. Absolutely brainless dealings spunking away vast sums of money on short termism.

We've gone from one of the best run teams under Moyes to a typical midtable PL team spending vast sums on players with a few months of good form behind them.

Not saying this to boast just that the facts have been there since day 1 that something was going very wrong.

Presumably Moshiri is miffed right off at the moment, which is borne out by the Mirror piece saying he wants to look at how the club is run. Good. Only way to get this club on the up again is to sort out the whole system, top to bottom. A new manager won't change much in the long term.
