Nope. It's the attitude of a club with a small time mentality.

So, we've bought Pickford, Onyekuru, Keane, Klassan and brought Rooney back on a free, yet everyone is up in arms over paying a big fee for a 27 year old. Why? Kicking off over buying 1 player out of 6 because we can't sell him on for a profit is small club mentality.

City - Don´t want him.
Spurs - Would take him but he´ll be stuck on the bench making less money considering Levys tight wage structure.
Liverpool - Obviously not.
Man Utd - Don´t want him.
Arsenal - Maybe Wenger would take a chance but he´ll end up like Jeffers mark II and probably loaned out to Newcastle in a years time.

The likes of Leicester, Southampton, Stoke, West Ham? Can´t be tempted by that. Spain?

At some point this deal has to go through,
By pulling out of their USA tour he has burned his bridges with the fans.
It is definately only a case of when not if.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a player or two thrown out on loan as makeweights.
As soon as they get back from tour, they won't want a disgruntled player about the place.
