£40m Bid Made For Sigurdsson

I tend to agree he is over priced mate but who isn't now,I would rather a c/b or c/f came first but let's wait and see.

Sigurdsson and a top draw left sided defender would be brilliant.

We could do with a big strong forward but I have a feeling that is not as high a priority as these. The transfer targets where marked with a game plan in mind.

I say about £10m in today's market.

It's ok just sell Niasse and Robles to recoup some cash back.
It'll be the fourth time this summer Everton have been had off by no mark clubs for millions.

We could have bought two more players with rational prices paid for Pickford (should have been £20M); Klaassen (should have been £18M); Keane (should have been £20M); and now Sigurdsson (should have been no more that £30M).

That's about £40+M that could have bought a CB and new LB...or a quality attacker to lead the team.

Madness, utter madness.

And now we have to sell Barkley to fund this one.

It's gross irresponsibility with the player sale cash we'll have as a once in a generation chance to make pay.

Mad price but it isn't my money so I hope we get him. Got to give credit to Swansea board getting such a fee for him and they may yet get more out of us as it appears he is the one we want most and will pay what it takes to get him.

I think it will be pretty much 40 with impossible addons, they will want to save face and on the face of it it looks like a decent deal when blag addons are on top.

Yes, but all players are so unless we are going to compete for the better players then that argument is somewhat invalidated

Yes, we do need other positions covered and I'm hoping we will.

If this goes through it's a positive move and a good signing

We are selling the family silver and getting ripped off on prices.

Its not just Everton, it's every club being hit hard with transfers. The money a player is bought for no longer represents their true ability. It is utter madness like you say but it's across the whole board.

See Kyle Walker as an example

We'll have to sell someone else to fund that defensive player.

Barkley for Sigurdsson is how I see it. And I dont think that's a great swap tbh.
