Keep repeating that mate. I've noticed your like the Anti-Esk. Everyone you say won't sign does sign lol
Wrong. Buying Sandro and getting Rooney for nothing shows how bargains are done. The price we pay for players now is effectively irrelevant for us as fans due to the absurdity of the market now. The sooner people realise this...
The family silver doesn't want to play for us any more Dave. Ross must be replaced and we are doing so with a player in his prime, not just someone with potential. We are selling the family silver and getting ripped off on prices.
You should ask Everton to join their negotiation team, mate. You clearly know how to get multimillion pound deals over the line. It'll be the fourth time this summer Everton have been had off by no mark clubs for millions.
We could have bought two more players with rational prices paid for Pickford (should have been £20M); Klaassen (should have been £18M); Keane (should have been £20M); and now Sigurdsson (should have been no more that £30M).
That's about £40+M that could have bought a CB and new LB...or a quality attacker to lead the team.
Madness, utter madness.
And now we have to sell Barkley to fund this one.
It's gross irresponsibility with the player sale cash we'll have as a once in a generation chance to make pay.

Nah. Outside us it's only the money no object shiek and oligarch owned clubs getting ripped off.Its not just Everton, it's every club being hit hard with transfers. The money a player is bought for no longer represents their true ability. It is utter madness like you say but it's across the whole board.
See Kyle Walker as an example
I was under the impression Barkley wants out regardless? It'll be the fourth time this summer Everton have been had off by no mark clubs for millions.

Doesn't want to play for us because that Dutchman made his presence here untenable. The family silver doesn't want to play for us any more Dave. Ross must be replaced and we are doing so with a player in his prime, not just someone with potential.
I want Ross to stay but given his refusal to commit then we must plan ahead accordingly.
I hope Barkley doesn't go but we are not getting 45m or any were near that for him. We'll have to sell someone else to fund that defensive player.
Barkley for Sigurdsson is how I see it. And I dont think that's a great swap tbh.
