I thought so, but will have to re-evaluate if this deal goes through.

I like to back my opinions on fact. I slated BK for years because the numbers spoke for themselves. Complete lack of investment.

If we spend 45m on a player then I'm not going to claim things are still the same. They clearly aren't.

45m under Kenwright? No chance....

I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Siguardsson is at present the better player, certainly more consistent player. But Barkley is only 23, English and the potential to improve further. To be honest I think both players are vastly overpriced at 50m, but 35m to be a truer reflection of their value.
But when you look at the RS, budding 66m for a midfielder whose had one good season on the bundesliga, then it goes to show that all reality in the transfer market has gone out of the window.
