£40m Bid Made For Sigurdsson

Even though I want him, part of me is weirdly hoping that word gets out that we've now dropped our interest in him, just to see the reaction.

The thing about this is that if say Arsenal or Spurs bid £35m for him, he would have been allowed to leave 10 days ago.

IMO a huge part of this turning into a saga is the "Who the hell do Everton think they are" attitude in the Swans boardroom. Something that is likely replicated at many other clubs this summer.

We can pay up and show we "mean business" but as I see it it's more a test of what alternatives we have to consider and pursuing them now.

We need more additions and it's important the money earmarked for Sigurdsson gets invested in the team this summer rather than reinvested in the accounts. How they accomplish that is Everton's issue. I wouldn't give another inch to Swansea though.

If we are going to pay the full amount or whatever i hope we go back fast like tonight, tomorrow, and not let this carry on even more than it has, that welsh paper reported it pretty fast that it was turned down,so watch them if we bid again

Walk away...who knows Swansea might even sell for a lot less closer to deadlline say when they realise that the guy just want to leave...i am sure we can get better players for 50 mil...

Way I see it - when the board step up to the plate and back the manager with funds to go and buy a player he wants, at a price that now seems acceptable in the current market, it should be embraced.

For many years we have sat and watched like the paupers at a party everybody thinks we are lucky to be invited to.

Willing to bet the majority of people saying "walk away", would be slaying the board and calling Mosh a fraud if we weren't trying to compete in this ridiculously over priced market.
