It's not? You should tell Paul Clement that, because when they needed to avoid relegation, they played him there.

Beyond that, it'll be his best position to start in our side, which is why he'll play there. Honestly, I couldn't care less where he plays, he's our best player the second he puts on the jersey, so he can play wherever the heck he wants.

The Matic deal is putting things a little into perspective interms of Siggy, they are both the same age which is interesting, considering he's going to go for 40m it makes the Siggy deal look ok.

Edit: Matic is actually a year older.

Ramirez had a cheap release clause and everyone knew about him

Gibson and Bowler are youngsters who we are chancing on

I'm talking about signing a player cheap ready made to start for us. Ie like Kante or a mahrez when they were unknown to us and bought cheap
 
For me the money would be better spent on other targets. We need a top striker. Centre back and a left back, back up. Throwing 50m into a player that's similar to Rooney and klassen is madness

Ross will be sold to cover this deal plus maybe mccarthy. It worries me where we will be able to find much needed funds for other positions as I certainty don't want anymore freebies who are no good to fill positions that are vital to us

And what's your point? You want us to sign players that are 'cheap ready made to start for us', but somehow Sandro doesn't count? So what if everyone knew about him, we signed him, not them.
