To be fair, although most think 50M is too much, LCFC offered at least 40M already. Siggy wants to join Everton, so that's good.

But yeah, make the deal, spend the money, move on. We need a playmaker, he's about as good as we can get. I know some disagree, but I think he's our best player if he signs and I don't think it's that close.

There must be a fair amount of ill will building on both sides by now to the effect that this doesn't get done at all. We are really screwing up Swanseas prep for the new season.

This is true, they should of taken the 40m, its one thing holding out for as much as you can, but you have to keep an eye on the date, im sure going so late in the window might hurt them more then us getting him late

Well your opinion or not, that's just nonsense. Even the bottom teams in the PL are utterly minted. None have to sell cheap. No team would come crawling back to a team to sell for well under the original valuation.

..I think it's also a balance with Swansea, their survival in the Premiership is worth more than £50m and Sigurdsson is a key player for them.

We do know what it's like to have a player unsettled though, so I suggest they would. Not suggesting they'd chase us for £20M, but I'm sure they'd take the £45 offered.
